April 19, 2021

May 15, 2021 at 8:00 am to 1:00 pm will see the first Butte Farmers’ Market of the season. As always West Park Street between Main and Dakota will be closed for the vendors to set up and sell their wares.

The market season will last from May 14 to October 2.

The Butte Farmers Market has been a mainstay in Uptown Butte since 1995 thanks to Mainstreet Uptown Butte who manages this event and helps the vendors get set up.

At this market you can find fresh locally grown vegetables, other fresh foods and some of Montana's finest handmade products, colorful and hardy bedding plants, farm fresh eggs, fruits and vegetables from vegetable gardens throughout Western Montana and from several truck gardens and nurseries in the Butte area.

Vendors and customers are advised to continue to wear masks when close to vendors or other customers.

Dogs and other pets are discouraged inside the market except for service animals. Also, cigarettes and alcohol are prohibited inside the market.

Foot traffic will be encouraged to flow one way from west to east and customers can return to the west end on the adjacent sidewalks but not through the center of the market to help improve social distancing in the market.  The entrance will be at Dakota and West Park Street.

Free parking again will be encouraged in the county parking garage but only at the Galena Street entrance for the lower level.

The market will again feature a lively mix of fresh produce, cut flowers and other essential products from Southwest Montana.

Mainstreet Uptown Butte will be on site throughout the Saturday market to answer questions by customers about where to find what they are looking for in the market and for information about the many businesses nearby throughout the district.

To reduce contacts for our most vulnerable customers who would still like to place an order with a vendor and have it delivered to their vehicles, they can call or text 406-565-2249 and the market coordinator will contact the vendor and broker the purchase and delivery.  Messages can also be delivered to the market’s Facebook page at

Later in the summer, the market will again accept SNAP and Double SNAP dollars for qualifying customers to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables with help from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program.
