Print

 For immediate release:

The Butte Archives has had to rethink how it presents its Brown Bag Lunch lecture series this year. In order to reach the maximum number of people safely, the Archives is hosting Brown Bag Lunches on KBOW’s Party Line. Archives staff member Kim Kohn will interview speakers in the studio to discuss topics related to Butte history and goings on the Archives. Brown Bag Lunches will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month on KBOW 550 AM.

Montana Tech Chancellor Dr. Les Cook will be our guest on Wednesday, October 28. Dr. Cook will tell us his impressions of the university and Butte, what he has learned about the school’s history so far, and what he sees on the horizon.

As the 12th chancellor of Montana Technological University, Dr. Les Cook is focused on advancing Montana Tech through strategic enrollment growth, student success, communication, and positioning the University for the future.

Before he was appointed chancellor on July 1, 2019, he spent 16 years at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. Before Michigan Tech, Dr. Cook held positions at the University of the Pacific, University of Utah, and Salt Lake Community College.
