June 11-18, 2023 is Pledge Week for the station.

KBMF 102.5 Celebrates Eighth Anniversary With Music, Labor History, and a Community Show of Support

Community radio station KBMF-LP 102.5 launched on June 13th, Miners’ Union Day 2015. In the interim, the station has trained more than 100 volunteer DJs and is proud to provide an open platform for a wide variety of music and talk shows. KBMF is proud to be a freeform station, encouraging DJs to play whatever they like. Fans of the station listen to rock and blues, classical and punk, metal and jazz, international artists, and unabashed Americans—all this plus local news and entertaining and educational talk shows.

More recently, KBMF has been staging a variety of popular free live music shows. Some take place in the newly refurbished second-floor ballroom of Carpenters' Union Hall (featured in the TV series 1923).  Weather permitting, the popular shows take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Hall.

Like all noncommercial public media outlets, KBMF is grateful for the support of its listeners.

KBMF will be celebrating all week long. Among the events will be:

  • Tue June 13, 6:00 pm KBMF founder Clark Grant and Sean Eamon
  • •Thu June 15, 7:30 pm Martha Scanlon & John Neufeld with Junior
  • •Sat June 17, 7:00 pm In Rapture, Dragged Out, & Vittima

All events take place at Carpenters' Union Hall 156 W. Granite.
