On 8/25/2025 the Butte-Silver Bow Water Department sampling and the results from independent laboratories have resulted in the precautionary HEALTH ADVISORY being lifted. This advisory was issued in response to a cross-connection event at Montana Resources. Sampling and laboratory analyses continued to inform the situation and have resulted in the Health Advisory being lifted.
This Health Advisory was precautionary. The Butte-Silver Bow public water supply system is continuing to sample and monitor the distribution system. Sample results have indicated that Butte-Silver Bow water has continued to remain well within the safe EPA drinking water standards. The potable water system will continue to be monitored.
What is being done?
- Butte-Silver Bow Water Utility personnel continue to closely monitor our water system.
