A Butte Teenager died from injuries suffered in an all terrain vehicle accident Tuesday evening..
Butte first responders went to Santa Claus Road between Butte and Rocker at about 7:20 pm where a 15-year-old had been riding an ATV. It appeared that he was attempting to climb a hill and the vehicle flipped. It landed on the young man.
He was taken to St. James Healthcare.
He died from injuries sustained in the accident, a press release from Sheriff Ed Lester noted.
Both Butte police and the Montana Highway Patrol are investigating the accident. The name of the young person who died is being withheld until his family can make proper notifications.
